![]() We have gotten about 15 requests for the MPX but for me to spend a year testing and R&D would just be cost prohibitive. I’m glad you somewhat got it to work.Īnd yes. What you’re describing sounds more as I mentioned an out of spec receiver if it didn’t come from a forging.Īnyway. Newer rifles more so the upper receivers tend to be tighter and once the BCG settles in then the gap will open more Well usually the opening depends on how new the rifle is vs a well broken in rifle. I really like the concept and wish you had a kit for an MPX but there probably isn’t enough demand to justify the costs. I fixed it by filing down the spot on the lower where the maglock slides between the upper an lower. The problem is all on me and my ham-handed machining, it has nothing to do with the kingpin. The wonky part is the size of the gap with the bolt locked open. I used a jig my BIL provided and a hand held router. I picked up a cheap 80% kit as a way to try it out I don’t remember who I bought it from. It helps me stabilize my shooting platform. Hope you get a chance to watch the video and in answer to your question Yes I do need my collapsible stock and my VFG. In constantly have to defend the product because it gets lugged up into that category of which it doesn’t belong. I designed the AR Maglock and Kingpin FOR this problem. The break action that most maglock systems that are out there don’t address this problem ![]() Sorry but you fell right into the reason that I posted this video and started this thread The citation may get dismissed but you’ll never get those mags back from 5-0.) (I also wouldn’t plan on using more than ten round mags. The pervasive problem is all the “break action open” locks make it very cumbersome to clear a jam. ![]() I tested almost every solution on the market. The new featureless grips (Resurgent, Sparrow, etc) get you an AR as close to non regulated as possible (although not as esthetic) Ask yourself do you really need a telescoping stock, or a flash hider. I stand behind it 100%įeatureless for a AR15 platform. That system is awesome for your featureless build. Thank you to SPARROW DYNAMICS for providing the grip and safety in this video. I know its long but I believe that its important for people to understand especially since there are a bunch of new AR owners out there and even longtime owners out there that dont understand how their rifle works. I know this will probably spark more debate but again if you haven’t watched the video and you comment "maglocks are crap or featureless all the way or it's just a range toy" we will know it and we will publicly shame you because of your comment! I put your safety first and many people that use the system know and understand this and I just need to keep spreading the word. I thought about you guys when I designed this system. it doesnt cause malfunctions but how you deal with a malfunction safely is 100% the responsibility of YOU and the system you choose. A maglock is just something that attaches to your rifle. IT IS NOT THE MAGLOCK no matter what brand that creates malfunctions and for some reason some people believe that. Most of the other fixed mag solutions just satisfy the law and DO NOT give you the ability to clear malfunctions safely and require you to do some crazy crap like taking down the front pin, removing baseplates or some other shenanigan to clear malfunctions The AR Maglock and Kingpin is sold as a set and was designed with safety in mind. I understand you can mix and match the Kingpin with a Hogue Freedom Fighter but you have to purchase them separately. There has been too much FUD regarding AR Maglock and Kingpin and the system gets lugged in with the other fixed magazine systems that cannot clear malfunctions SAFELY or change mags quicklyĪR Maglock and Kingpin is the ONLY complete system out there that not only satisfies the law but offers you full function of your rifle from bolt holdback to quick mag changes to SAFE malfunction clearing and it seems that people need to see clear video representation of this. Well I 100% agree but you just have to choose the correct fixed mag solution and that is the AR Maglock and Kingpin. You get a standard mag release and 30 rds with your featureless but this is meant to settle what people see as a liability using a mag locked rifle. Most of us who will take the time to watch the video will know if you haven’t watched it because you will probably comment which one is better. This is not a “which compliance choice is better” video. So as shown in my thread title this is a video of an AR Maglock Gen 4 and Kingpin vs a Featureless rifle. Its 20 minutes long but if you have time please watch it and understand it to your best ability. I didnt have a lot of time to make this video but I did my best. This is unscripted and I stutter and say um and uh a lot. DISCLAIMER: I’m not a pro at making videos.
